One Engine Test

When I was a young girl in the early 60's, my father worked for North American Rockwell International. We lived in southern California, where a division called Rocketdyne built engines for Saturn rockets, and other rocket engines. People Who have Helped Me on my Tech Journey

I have not been using web 2.0 tools very long–3 or 4 years maybe. I have grown comfortable with the idea that learning takes place face to face, locally, and online with people half a world away. renting textbooks vs buying textbooks

I just saved $213.00 this afternoon, (no, not on my insurance)! It was time to order textbooks, and every time I do I cringe because I know that in one semester a $150 book will be worth $15 at the bookstore when I try to resell it.

So I checked out www.chegg.com, which is a textbook rental site. Of the 5 books I ordered, 4 of them were significantly less expensive to rent. I checked with Amazon.com and compared the purchase price of used books--and saved mucho dinero. There was one book that was less expensive at Amazon, so I purchased that one with them. I'll have to check out how much time it takes to get my books, I'll let you know. The standard shipping rate was the same, however, chegg charged tax whereas Amazon didn't. This is not really a technology post, but I thought is showed how there are now more options available to the online consumer.
